THE SOUND OF SPOOKS!

Way back in the early days of the campaign, the team at BackToFrankBlack.com were delighted to secure the support and friendship of Frank and Laura from Spooktalkular.com. Frank and Laura have been fervent supporters of our efforts, using every opportunity to bring our news to supporters of their podcast.

If you haven't had the chance to listen to their show it comes highly recommended. A fantastic mix of the paranormal, entertainment and genre reviews, exclusive competitions and more, it is a must for every budding Mulder or Scully out there and, if further reason were needed, their latest edition, episode 17, features an interview with none other than campaign staff, James and Troy.

Ever wondered what happens when four Millennium fans share the airwaves? Aside from the fun and frolics, and this is one of the most enjoyable podcasts I have listened to in ages, there's some delightful banter about Megan Gallagher, the campaign, Millennium Apocalypse, X-Files: I Want To Believe and much, much more. If you have a gap in your schedule that calls for some top quality entertainment then you can't get better than this.

BLOOD SHOT THE MOVIE!

Some time ago a merry band of college guys endeavoured to make a thrilling short film with horror, fantasy, action and dark comedy elements. With a central premise focussing on the alliance between a renegade cop and a vampire thrown together to battle terrorists this short film went on to receive a slew of accolades, play a dozen or more festivals and allow director, Dietrich Johnston to put together a package to turn this venture into a full fledged film.

Journey to 2009 and the premise of the movie remains the same but the stakes (no vampiric pun intended) are higher, the cast is bigger and the budget, while still modest, is real. Brad Dourif, Michael Baily Smith and Lance Henricksen round out the cast of genre veterans in this well intentioned buddy cop comedy with horror overtones.

As adoring supporters of all things Lance Henriksen we contacted Dietrich to espouse our interest in his project and our support for it and imagine our delight when Dietrich joined the legion (there goes a pun again) of individuals who have written back to express their love of Millennium and admiration for Lance Henriksen. Not only does he throw his support firmly behind our efforts but he has extended the hand of friendship and promised to keep us updated with the latest behind the scenes news from Blood Shot.

To this end, Dietrich very kindly shared with us a piece of promotional art from the film. The image you are looking at has not seen online before and aside from the production team, the only person to have viewed it is Lance Henriksen himself. Nuff said!


We urge you, nay implore you, to throw your considerable support behind this project, keep visiting us for news of it and make sure you check it out when it is available. Individuals like Dietrich are not only valuable allies to this campaign but have become our friends in the process. Repaying their kindness is the very least we can do.

This free podcast is available on a fortnightly basis via ITUNES. We'll naturally update you all on information on the podcast from this blog as well.

With ITUNES, anyone who has an Itunes friendly account will be able to subscribe easily and download the podcasts as they are released. We recommend the ITUNES friendly enhanced podcast because each episode will have its unique set of images to accompany the chatter!

BacktoFrankBlack: Millennium Group Sessions starts TOMORROW!

BacktoFrankBlack is proud to announce the first episode of their brand new podcast service available from tomorrow on ITunes and through backtofrankblack.com.

From Sunday 3rd May 2009, the pilot episode for this podcast will be downloadable in two different formats to choose from:

• Enhanced Podcast for Itunes and Ipods with exclusive embedded images (15MB) that will be available for FREE from the Itunes store or direct link from our website.

• Full high quality MP3 (60MB) again available for FREE on our website. This version will contain no images but will be a high quality audio file.

The first pilot episode of this service will contain a broad spectrum of information concerning the campaign, Millennium, its cast/crew and beyond. These podcasts hosted by myself, Jim McLean and Troy Foreman of ThaDarksideVibe. They are an informal affair aimed to be entertaining as much as informative. Props will also go to Mark Hayden, our news/promotions agent who provides much support for the show.

The first one will be 60 minutes and available tomorrow. Keep an eye on ITunes and this blog for more details!

LANCE TALKS MILLENNIUM MOVIE

It goes without saying that we are a busy bunch of individuals these days and this week has been no exception, particularly for my erstwhile colleagues Jim and Troy who's free time has been devoured by our exclusive campaign podcast due to hit the airwaves this weekend. Until normal service resumes, allow me to fill the small, but necessary, gap in our usual Blog output with a few words from your hero and mine, Lance Henriksen. Speaking to dreadcentral.com, Lance was speaking about his recent movie, Screamers: The Hunting, but took yet another opportunity to espouse his desire to see Millennium on the big screen.

“‘Millennium’ was definitely a show before its time,” he commented. “I always thought it was funny that grown men would come up to me on the street and tell me how much that show actually scared them.

“I never even watched the show until the DVD box sets came out. I knew that some of the episodes we did on “Millennium” were brilliant but I never realized just how much until I sat down and watched them for myself. We made some big strides in doing exceptional work for network television. I am still so proud of everything that show was,”

While not a solid reality, the possibility of a “Millennium” film is still feasible,

“I really think a movie would wield a lot of power. I know it’s something that fans and all of us who worked on the show would really love to do because of the possibilities about getting that story up on the big screen. On TV, everything is so sanitized so getting to do Frank’s story on the big screen would be amazing for me. And I know it’s something Chris (Carter) has always wanted to do.”

Ten years, and more, since the demise of Millennium and Lance remains shoulder to shoulder with the fans of the franchise that this chapter should be re-opened and Millennium given the treatment it so readily lends itself to. Let us, as fans, send a message loud and clear to those that hold the fortunes of this franchise in their hands.

We wait, we worry, we care! This is who we are!
