Millennium Movie Poster Project: Gallery Showcase Day Two

Welcome to Day Two of the Millennium Movie Poster Project Gallery Showcase and three more posters from amongst our competition entries.

Christopher Brielmaier

The first image here is reminiscent of one of the teaser posters that helped launch Millennium whilst very much retaining its own visual identity and hinting at a brand new mystery.

Up next is a photographic-based offering that calls to mind the bold imagery from the show's opening credits sequence. It also features and expands upon some familiar phraseology and bills a headline cast which hints that Peter Watts is alive and well!

Anneka Evans

And finally a simple but no less effective composition - the only one today to feature an image of Frank Black himself, no less! - boldly announcing the return of everyone's favourite criminal profiler.

Gregory Fugate

Be sure to check back again tomorrow when we'll be featuring three more posters!

Millennium Movie Poster Project: Gallery Showcase Day One

Welcome to Day One of the Millennium Movie Poster Project Gallery Showcase! Over the next week or so we will be showcasing many of the entries we have received. For now we won't be crediting any of the artists - until after the winners have been announced - but we will be certain to do so at a later date.

Christopher Brielmaier

These first three posters exemplify the range of entries we received. From a starkly affecting monochromatic teaser to a detailed portrait of Frank Black himself - both with taglines - to a photographic composition.

Matthew Ingles

This third entry is notable for including a subtitle as well as listing some cast and crew, including the first - but certainly not the last - appearance for nemesis Lucy Butler. We'll be showcasing more examples of each of these styles of poster and others over the coming days, so be sure to check back again tomorrow!

Millennium Movie Poster Project: Gallery Showcase

It's the midnight of the competition - the Millennium Movie Poster Project is now closed to entries! We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has taken the time to enter, and all those in turn who have helped to publicise this event.

But it doesn't end there. Over the next week or so, whilst our judges - Lance Henriksen, Klea Scott and Mark Snow - begin mulling over the entries, we will be showcasing three posters per day taken from those we have received. We will preserve the anonymity of the entrants until after the winners have been announced, but this will be your opportunity to share in some of the competing artists' teasers for a Millennium movie.

So be sure to visit the blog right here at Back to Frank Black every day from Monday as we share your eye-catching visions for the future of Millennium!

Millennium Movie Poster Project: Last Call

Just two days to go for the Millennium Movie Poster Project, but there's still time for you to create and submit your entry if you have yet to do so.

As a reminder, this competition asks you to turn your visions of a Millennium movie into reality in the form of a poster design. The composition is entirely up to you, with the only limits being those of your imagination.

Our superb triumvirate of judges - Klea Scott, Mark Snow and Lance Henriksen himself - eagerly await your entries, and there are a fantastic set of signed DVD prizes on offer. The first prize is a copy of the Millennium boxset, Aliens and Near Dark, second prize is the Millennium boxset and Near Dark and third prize receives the Millennium boxset. In addition, the top five entries will all receive a signed photo of Lance Henriksen.

Please submit your entry or entries as either a JPEG or a PDF file(s) by e-mail to info@backtofrankblack.com. Be sure that your subject line reads “Millennium Movie Poster Project” and that the e-mail includes both your name and address.

For the last time, then, we wish you all the very best of luck!

There are 2 days remaining.
