Ezekiel Editorial: News Round-up

First off, we (myself, Troy and Lance) are very encouraged by the interest in our teaser we set at the beginning of the week. From the stats as well as the emails and comments, we think we're onto a good thing. Again, we're still working out the details, but we're hoping good things will come out of this, worthy of the interest we're getting. So thank you for your patience. This is Lance's brainchild we're juggling and its great having the man himself playing such a powerfully proactive force on behalf of BacktoFrankBlack and the fans of Millennium. More when it comes.

Second, a letter to Big Light made a request for Millennium this week to the usual tune of "Has there been any indication that Fox, may decide to approve a Millennium movie?" (it's a tune I like. :)) X-Files 3 was also mentioned. Frank's blog reply was "I’m afraid I have no news about a potential Millennium feature. No news yet on X-Files 3, either, but I’m taking notes!" Always nice to know people are continuing to directly ask that question, and Frank is - as he has said categorically to BacktoFrankBlack, he is very open to doing Millennium once more.



- Morgan and Wong next week, as you could tell from our wondrous little trailer provided by our video editor Josef. We have the Glen Morgan interview lined up, along with a great competition, exclusive guest articles, a DiRT special, M&W video avatar and a look at Morgan & Wong's work across the board.

Special thanks to XFN for keenly supporting their humble sibling with news of this event. It is of course of interest to X-Files fans being Morgan & Wong being such an incredibly relevant part of their mythos. Please show the same courtesy if you have a moment to support their community ventures. They have a lot of great things going on there.

FINALLY

Seven and One, our regular Fan Interview questionnaire is now archived on the website at the bottom of the interviews page. Seems only fair that the fans get the same page as the cast and crew being as relevant to any revival. Enjoy a trip down memory lane with those. I'll post another up tomorrow perhaps.

MARK SNOW IN CONCERT AND IN CONVERSATION!

BackToFrankBlack is pleased to share some amazing news with you that was originally posted at Big Light, Frank Spotnitz's official website and fan community. Mark Snow will be conducting music from "Millennium" and "The X-Files" on July 23rd at Fimucité, a music festival on Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Mark's program will feature extended versions of the "Millennium" and "X-Files" themes, as well as music from the episode "The Post-Modern Prometheus" and several pieces from the first and second movies. As you will know, Frank has been supportive of our efforts from the very beginning and we are very grateful for this support, after all, it was his words that indirectly inspired this campaign in the not too distant past.

Yesterday he allowed news of our caption competition to grace his blog and, as you would anticipate, this has lead to a sizeable increase in entries but there is still time for you to get your submission to us, to reiterate, the deadline date for all submissions is Midnight (GMT) on 21st April so get your thinking caps on and keep your eyes on our Blog for more giveaway competitions in the not too distant future.

Imagine our surprise, and a most pleasant surprise it was, when we discovered one of our supporters had written to Frank Spotnitz to espouse his support of the campaign and his love of Millennium. As you may know, we have written to Frank Spotnitz in the past and have been touched that he has responded to our campaign with such warmth and openness. So, allow us to take this opportunity to thank Diego for such a considered and supportive resume of his feelings and to thank Frank Spotnitz for once again giving this campaign a most vital and welcome platform. Allow me to share a few words from Diego's thoughtful message but I urge you all to enjoy the full entry here!

Of course I know you are more than aware of our campaign, so this is not a request of any kind. I just needed to comment that, by now, from seeing the response the campaign has been getting, I am really starting to feel that if a new chapter in Frank Black's life never comes to be, it would be the greatest shame in the world. Not only in the world of television and art (for "Millennium" is Art with a capital A), but most importantly in the real, present world. Frank Black's story has such power to change people's lives for the better, to bring hope in the darkest of times, to nurture thought, to inspire the best in each of us.

It is you, the fans, that are the quintessential driving force behind the campaign. It is your passion, your devotion and your enthusiasm that has shaped this campaign and allowed it to evolve into, what has been described by many as the most professional and impressive fan campaign they have witnessed.

Wherever you find yourselves today and in the future, take a little time to ethically and politely share your love of Frank Black and your support of this campaign. In those distant days when we first began I recall Frank Spotnitz himself stated that for a Movie to happen fans needed to make a lot of noise.
