Avatar Vision Proudly Presents: PILOT IS POWER!

To those who have been following this campaign, Josef has demonstrated his passion for Frank Black, and his eagerness to see the character return, time and time again. Of late, Josef has put his valuable talents to good use creating campaign videos and musical montages that we can use to raise our profile at our Youtube page. Not content with creating the odd video or two, Josef has set himself the lofty ambition of creating a video for every episode of the franchise and that's, well, a lot of videos.

As you can see he is not a man to rest on his laurels and the first fruits of his endeavours can be seen above. A stunning montage, created by selected edits of the Pilot and set to music, I am sure you will agree with me that he has surpassed himself again. And what may seem like mere entertainment is much more than that. Since we uploaded his video to Youtube yesterday I have received a number of subscriptions to the channel, comments on his efforts and and email from a Millennium fan or two that might otherwise not have heard of this campaign. Now that's what I call a contribution.
If you want to join Josef in the cause and create a little something we can use to expand our audience then we want to hear all about it. It need not be something worthy of Hitchcock, merely a heartfelt plea as to why you want Frank back, send it to me and I'll do the rest. Till then, enjoy Josef's incredible creation.

Thanks Mark, for the wonderful blog.

And I hope I get some feedback, good or bad, it's all good. :D

Just a few notes, there was no William Butler Yeats quote in the episode nor any Millennium episode.

I mimicked the style of the quotes they used to do on the show after the show came back from the credits/title sequence. I did it to enhance the poetry aspect of the video, not to mention the song :)

I did not put any fancy effects. It's all simple editing. I did, however, slow some shots to accommodate the music. Also, I zoomed and panned a couple of shots for artistic purposes.

Otherwise, it has not been altered.

Enjoy!

Don't be dark!
Cheers from Iceland!

Not at all Josef, thank you for a wonderful video.

Yeats has a very special place in my heart, his work happens to be the first anthology of poetry I purchased when I was young.

Obviously from your comments this took a lot of time and energy and for that we are grateful and yes comments would be lovely so leave him your thoughts people :)

WOW...what else can I say. Fabulous job, Josef. Keep up the good work! Your time and effort can only improve the campaign and get more followers to speak up! I only wish I could do something like that. :)

Thanks Rhonda.

It means a lot to me.

I've completed the second video for Gehenna. But I have a few "errors" to fix, but it should be up later this night online, I reckon...

And obviously, the Frenchman quoted the poem The Second Coming and that is mentioned in the episode. I considered having more of the poem but it would have been too much. This excerpt, was perfect and enough.

Great video and looking forward to whatever you bring next. Sorry if I go all off topic here but is that a Gary Numan track? My brain says it is but my ears says it isn't?

Love, love, love the flicky thing you do with the frenchman's writing, does that make sense?

Bravo Josef, stunning stuff!

Any chance we can download this for our ipods?

Outstanding editing Josef!

Great choice of music to with it too, very much in the style of the Pilot episode!

5 out of 5 Ouros from me!

It's a Gary Numan cover for sure. It's not a well known track, it's an extra bonus track from Warriors album when his popularity was sadly dwindling. The original was a strange jazzy song, not really my taste. Gravity Kills really made a sad song and made it better. The cover is from an tribute album called Random, a 2 CD set, I believe.

The way I saw and thought about the video, the flickering in the chase sequence is what Frank Black wrote (which all came from the Frenchman) and that was all about trying to understand the killer.

An iPod download? I don't know... Lets see if I can render it as an iPod compatible video and see if it looks okay. Because it's a big file now.

Foxywonder, I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I can't render the file in an iPod compatible file. I thought I could but I don't have that option.

But we've something very cool planned in the near future as I've made more videos.

Until then, I guess you have to enjoy the video online.

Hi guys,
Foxywonder (we love your name) he is indeed correct, a little bird (maybe an owl, maybe a rooster) tells me that anyone who likes what Josef is doing here, and we know you do as we have some nice comments over at Youtube too, will love what we have in store for the future. Has that whet your appetite a little eh?

And so to the music video for the episode which started it all.

I always liked the quotes shown after the main cast title sequence of Millennium. It added another layer to the show's presentation and quality.

Nicely put together music video as always Josef. That chase (on foot) scene has to go as one of the best in both film and TV.
