Back during The Curse Of Frank Black Week we unveiled a fantastic competition that would allow one of you lucky people to get your hands on a wonderful piece of campaign memorabilia. Josef compiled all the music montages he had created up until that point and created a stunning DVD compilation complete with menus, covers and all the good things you would expect from someone as talented as he is. When Josef and Troy ventured to Chicago for the Flashback Horror Convention they were lucky enough to have Lance Henriksen sign the DVD so that we could give it away to one of you good people.

So, here's the moment you've all been waiting for. Congratulations to our lucky winner and thanks to all those who took the time to enter. No doubt there will be more competitions to look forward to in the near future but till then. Let's find out who the winner is shall we?

MILLENNIUM STARS UNITE TO WISH YOU A HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Time for one last treat? I think so. Myself and Jim have long desired to see Millennium given an audio book treatment in the same vein as the sterling creations by Big Finish Productions. These guys kept their own beloved franchise alive in this format during it's long hiatus and whilst we wait for for a movie we see no reason why the desire for more Millennium should not be capitalised upon. With that in mind I set about trying to organise a little something to treat you all with for Halloween.

Sarah-Jane Redmond, Van Quattro, Missy Crider and Barry Levy all freely gave of their time to record a few Halloween poems and greetings to you, the fans. Please join with me in thanking them for the warmth and kindness they have afforded this campaign and for the sheer enthusiasm they have for what we are doing and for Millennium. Additional thanks to Kristen Cloke and Jeff Parise who tried to find time to do the same but who's busy lives demanded their attention. We thank you all for everything.

Fresh from his trip to Flashback 2009, and suffering from a dose of Man-Marburg, Josef has found the time to create another brilliant music montage to honour SatanicSaturday™ and The Curse of Frank Black Week. And whilst I gush, fan-boy style, about every new video Josef makes, if this is not his best work to date then I will throw eggs at my house. Grab your Candy Corn, pour a glass of witches brew, dim the lights and settle back for The Ghosts of Frank Black. To stop yourself from fainting, keep repeating: it's only a movie, it's only a movie!

Chillingly brilliant don't you think? Don't be shy, whilst Josef is busy lurking in your attic waiting for the right moment to appear and attempt to sway you away from your mission he always finds the time to read your comments and respond to them. THE CURSE OF FRANK BLACK WEEK DAY FOUR: DiRTS REVIEW AND MILLENNIUM VISTA GADGETS!

Time, once again, for our weekly reviewer, DiRT, to cast his discerning eye upon another episode of Millennium and it shouldn't take a genius to work out which episode will be getting the DiRT treatment this week. The Curse of Frank Black is arguably one of the finest episodes of the show and rarely do you happen upon a fan of Millennium who doesn't hold it in high regard. For many, myself included, this episode is a staple part of their Halloween festivities. Glen Morgan and James Wong's ghostly journey from uncertainty to renewed determination, played out on the silent, wind-blown streets of Frank's neighbourhood on Halloween night is essential Halloween viewing. But does DiRT agree? Let's find out.....

THE CURSE OF FRANK BLACK WEEK DAY THREE: TRICK R TREAT?

Readers of Frank Spotnitz's Big Light Blog will know that X-Files fans have a penchant for mixing baking and the paranormal and not to be outdone we thought it long overdue that Millennium had a cake of its own, and now it does. Our good friend Laura, of the superb podcast Spooktalkular, donned her industrial strength oven gloves and borrowed Ricardo Clements' microwave oven for a spot of something wholesome. Want to celebrate the spooky season with an edible version of Frank's Jack-O-Lantern. Over to Laura...

THE HELLISH INGREDIENTS

1 box of Trick or Treat cake mix.
1 Pumpkin cake mold.
1 Can of white frosting or make your own (recipe below).
Yellow and red food coloring.
1 Tube of cake icing to decorate the face of the pumpkin cake or you can use a ziploc bag and fill it with your icing, snip the end off and pipe it onto the cake.
Last but not least 1 artistic soul who made this cake with lots and lots of love!


THE GOOEY BIT

Homemade frosting recipe:

1 cup shortening
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
4 tablespoons milk

THE NEFARIOUS METHOD

Preheat your oven to usually 325 or 350 degrees according to the directions on the box.
Grab a mixing bowl and mix your cake according to directions. Grease and flour your cake pan, I use Pam spray or something similar. Pour the mix into the cake pan and pop it into the oven and bake according to the directions on the box.

When it is done and while it is cooling mix up your frosting. I used two bowls, one for mixing the stem color and one for the actual pumpkin color. For the stem color, I used green food coloring but it is your preference as how to how dark or light of a green you want to use for the stem. I used several drops of green until I had my right color. I also dropped a few drops onto the frosting on the stem and used a toothpick to streak it through the stem to give it that authentic vine look... don't think you can actually tell in the picture but it did look pretty cool.

Next I mixed up the orange frosting for the pumpkin color. Now for this, the box of food coloring said to use 12 yellow drops and 4 red but that is really too bright of an orange so I adjusted it according to how dark of an orange I wanted it and I think it turned out pretty well. So, after frosting the cake I began to decorate the face. I used chocolate icing for the "carving" and I used the small cake decorating tubes to make it a bit easier but like I said you can also do the same thing with a ziploc baggie.

And there you have it. One way to celebrate Halloween, Millennium-style. I'm sure you will agree with me that Laura did some amazing work and I know you will join with me in wishing her and Frank a wonderfully, spooky Halloween. They wouldn't have it any other way I'm sure!

THE CURSE OF FRANK BLACK WEEK - DAY TWO: PUMPKINHEAD COMMETH!

Keep away from Pumpkinhead,
Unless you're tired of living,
His enemies are mostly dead,
He's mean and unforgiving!

Pumpkinhead is a 1988 supernatural horror film, combining elements of fable, fairy tale and morality. It was the directorial debut of noted special-effects artist Stan Winston. The film has become immensley popular with horror fans for Winston's atmospheric direction and memorable monster, and has built up a cult following in the years since its release, and is thought to be a classic of the genre. What's more it stars Lance Henriksen and is the perfect compliment to Halloween.



We have two Region 1 copies of this fantastic horror flick to give away courtesy of MGM and the competition could not be simpler. Happy Halloween dear friends and may the season be full of tricks and treats for each and every one you! What better way to celebrate Halloween than to turn our attention to one of the most celebrated episodes of our beloved franchise, "The Curse of Frank Black", with a week of themed happenings dedicated to Glen Morgan's finest creation. Something wicked this way comes....

To launch event, movie director and campaign supporter Brett Hart put his team to work creating a trailer that we could use to help publicise the event and ourselves in the process. Brett Hart should need no introduction to you all, his film Bone Dry (starring Lance Henriksen) is heralded as one of the true greats of Lance's memorable career to date and his support of this campaign has been unswerving. In the last few weeks he has been the subject of considerable speculation that he is to helm a potential Millennium Movie Project and though he is as much in the dark as we are about such speculation he remains a confirmed admirer of Chris Carter's vision and of Millennium. Sit back, and enjoy the show.....
