Avatar Vision Proudly Presents: The Sound of Tears!

Well Music Monday has finally made its appearance as Tuneful Thursday (myself and Josef were actually hoping for Wednesday but we can't reveal the mooted name of that day, it's far too rude) and we know a number of you have been eagerly awaiting this. Today's cinematic outing is proudly dedicated to M.R. Sellars in honour of his endearing Catherine Black appreciation and after a week of ribbing him that this would be something of a tear jerker, it will finally get to see it isn't as maudlin as I have made it sound.

As always, we thank our resident video alchemist Josef for taking this campaign and continuing to plug it in the vast abyss that is Youtube and we hope you will feel in some way inspired to follow in his footsteps and donate a little video magic of your own. Remember this, reading an interview will not get this movie made, nor will listening to a podcast or watching one of Josef's superb creations. Lending your voice to ours, publicly, is what is needed. Write those letters, record those videos, send in those polaroids and lets bring this one home.

Dont forget to leave a comment or two for Josef, he really appreciates all the feedback he receives for his sterling work and keep your eyes peeled (ouch) for next weeks video it will blow you away!

Thanks again for a super nice blog, Mark.

And please, comment and be honest.

Did you shed a tear or just flat out bawled out and went into the shower to hide them?

ps: you know I'm writing a comment so future comment will go to my e-mail, so convenient, if you REALLY don't want to miss a thing. But it's always cooler to visit the site and see in its full glory :D

Cheers from Iceland!

Nice to see some Catherine about the place and a very nice video to boot. I especially like the ending which was unexpected, I thought we'd have a nice Catherine-close-up or something *awww* but t'wasn't to be.

I stand on the fence about the "Sound of Snow": a great episode no doubt but I'm not sure if "giving Catherine back to Frank" lessened that arc a little and made her demise a little less powerful. I guess it provided Frank with some closure and allowed him to move on from Millennium-Group-Vengeance mode for a couple of episodes.

Ah Catherine, RIP! Oft missed and sorely underused :(

Just watched the video and another crappy job Josef, gosh don't you wish you had my talent? I am sure I could do a much better job!

HaHa just kidding my friend! That was my envy and jealousy speaking, :) I think it was very good and very sad at the same time. Loved the music, not 9 Inch Nails but still very good and just right to go along with the video.
I would love to be able to do a Frank and Jordan video but have no clue where to start but give me time I might just figure it out, then I will give you a run for your money, haha, really, I don't think you have a thing to worry about! Can't wait for the next one. :)

Do be dark and spooky but in a good and loving way.:)

Okay kiddos...

1) Excellent job Josef... And, you couldn't have chosen a more appropriate piece of music! That was perfect! :)

2) Yes, I misted up... Okay, mist probably isn't strong enough a word, but then I didn't open the waterworks either. Pretty much the whole teary-eyed sniffles I had with the episode itself.

3) I agree, George. I've said a thousand times that Catherine was horribly underutilized...

4) Now I'm not going to get any work done because I'm going to have to go watch some episodes... ;)

Ah! Another blinder from ★Mr. Video Man★, the music is wonderful. Very touching. Very melancholy. My Ipod thanks you.

Nice to see Catherine getting some ❤, she certainly never used to back in the day. People were either a bit *meh* or a bit *growl* and I always felt a lot more should have been done with her. Two many "my husbands doing something evidently secret and no doubt dangerous but I will smile sweetly anyway" so it was nice when she became a little bolder.

And ♥♥♥♥ to Megan, a great actress who should have had so much more to get her teeth into.

Great video there. One of the very best episodes of Season Three made a little better if I may be so bold. I'm very much enjoying the shift in perspective you are using, from Frank in one, to the killer in the next. Nice to see the stories told from different angles.

You are very talented.

Jósef Karl said... August 27, 2009 at 10:53 AM

It really depends on the episode I'm working on, what I will do with it.

In my mind at first I was thinking to include how all these people were lucky...but there was enough footage of Frank and Catherine so I did just focus on them. And the song made more sense, in a way, that way.

And this dark turn was just inspired by the dark turn of the song, always go with the flow. Turned out better, since I was having trouble with the editing program. It was like editing a slideshow (couldn't play it in the program, argh!), but I managed to fix that for the next video.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

Cheers from Iceland!

Thanks for the kudos on the Blog post Josef and the pleasure is all mine, it's a delight to give some publicity to all your hard work and far be it from me to dangle carrots (he says whilst dangling a carrot) just you wait to see what we have coming Monday, yes, that's MONDAY (come hell or high water) as I'm sure you will agree Josef has outdone himself this time :)

Enjoyable video, very nicely put together what an excellent choice of track. Much gentler than the James Carr track used in the episode. I have enjoyed all these so far but I happen to think this is my favourite.
Well done you.

I watched and listened with much interest as the Sound of Snow is one of my favorite episodes. I really like the song choice. Frank was indeed a lucky man. Catherine was a lucky woman and I would change places with her any time.

I did not shed a tear but my eyes did get misty and I caught myself nodding my head in tune to the music and singing along towards the end.

Josef, you have done another wonderful job. I appreciate you as I am sure we all do. Keep up the good work. Hope your hand gets better soon. We are waiting patiently for the next video.

Maybe, in the future, a video for Borrowed Time. That would be my next request. But whatever you choose I am positive will be spectacular!!!

Right Laura?

Great Job.

Borrowed Time is one of the very best episodes of Season Three isn't it? Along with The Sound of Snow and Seven and One -- too many to choose from if I'm honest.

I would very much like to see a Borrowed Time video as well, isn't Brittany just incredible for one so young? Does anyone know what she is up to these days?

I believe her brother is also a child actor these days but don't know if I've seen him in anything though.

So sorry to post again here -- it's nice to see Millennium chat happening and I don't always get chance to talk about the show.

Again -- wonderful video. More, More, More :)

Rhonda, my hand is fine now, thanks for your concern. It was only bothering me on Wednesday and during the night I fell and hurt my hand.

So, I'm a lucky man, in that respect :D

I guess it's more of a joke between us Mark of the tearjerker. But I was at least positive it would stir up some feelings, without having to shed a tear. Which is all good, so you can use that tissue box for some hardcore sad Millennium episode sessions. :)

Cheers from Iceland!

Great video, especially the cool ending. Nice to shake things up a little. Glad people are enjoying these and hope you're enjoying doing them as well.
BRING BACK FRANK BLACK!

RSWehman said... August 28, 2009 at 11:10 AM

@Josef,

Really glad to hear that you're hand is better so you can work with both of them on the next installment video. I really expected to tear up a bit. I still do sometimes when I watch The Sound of Snow even tho I know word for word what's going to happen.

Cheers to Iceland from USA...
(Wish I was there)

@Rhonda

Josef already has the next one in the bag. In fact, I may thrash him, task-master-style, to get the next 60 or so completed lest his hand drop off or some other malady afflict him. That said, I will demand an external medical examination for an independent clinician should any medical issues be cited as reasons for non-production of videos ;)

Jósef Karl said... August 28, 2009 at 2:33 PM

Mark, what? A Millennium Group autopsy? :D

- Jósef

Mark Ducker said... August 28, 2009 at 6:19 PM

Oh absolutely! Anything else would be selling 'The Group' short. I see a slow and detailed vivisection by the crazy chick who carved away to the 'Squirrel Nut Zippers' in 'A Single Blade of Grass', if you're gonna slice and dice you may as well have a little fun doing it.

Oh and I add my voice to a Lara Means video sometime soon, gotta love a little Lara (I tend to nag people into doing Lara things frequently so think no ill of me, it's 'my thing')

Ungodly Twittering, whatever do you mean good sir? My Twittering is wholesome family fun to be enjoyed by all :)

Spooktalklaura said... August 29, 2009 at 12:38 PM

@Mark Hayden

Mark I love your twittering! Go on twitter as much as you like, ungodly or not. haha As long as you are twittering more than me I don't feel like I have a problem twittering too much. Ok, I don't think any of that just now made sense but I hope someone understands my rambles. haha :)

I am with you Mark on wanting anything Lara, I mean gotta love a name like that! and I just loved her character. :)

Josef I am so glad your hand is better, even with one hand you do a much better job than I could ever do. :) I look forward to seeing what you come up with each time. :)

You are right Rhonda, anything Josef does has the Spooktalkular seal of approval. :)
