Yesterday I had the opportunity to talk a staunch supporter of this campaign and a lady not unfamiliar to fans of our sister franchise, the X-Files. Jen, of MitchPileggi.net was contacted by Mr. Pileggi and brought to our attention unfortunate developments in the lives of his family and I thought it our duty to help support Jen and Mitch in their efforts to bring this most deserving of news to your attention.
This evening there is an opportunity to join actor Mitch Pileggi (X-Files, Supernatural, Sons of Anarchy) for a gathering of family, friends and supporters to benefit his sister, Judi Ward in her battle against Leiomyosarcoma.
It is with great sadness that we learnt that Judi has been diagnosed with this very rare form of cancer – LMS affects 4 out of a million people. Sadly, Judi is no longer able to work and no longer has health insurance and event organizers hope to help defray the costs of treating this aggressive disease.
While the cause is serious, the event will be a fun, relaxed affair complete with prizes, gifts and a raffle of memorabilia from Mitch Pileggi’s television work. If you have the opportunity to go please do so and meet Mitch, have some fun, raise awareness of this disease and help support his sister through this most difficult of times.
We understand that many of you will not be able to attend the event but may still want to help. Judi’s family has set up a donation website just for this purpose: http://judiwardlmsfundraiser.yolasite.com/
We do hope you will join with us in spreading the word. Take this news to your Twitter feeds, Blogs and forums and lets see if we can use our united voices to make a difference. This is who we are after all.

Oh no that is very sad news indeed. I wish Jen and Mitch all the best in helping his sister fight her fight and make a spectacular recovery. It will be a pleasure to help you spread the word and I will do so at xanga.com as soon as I can.
This is who we are :(
I'd like to add my thoughts to the above and say that I will keep Mitch's sister in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult period. All the very best to Jen and to Mitch in their efforts to raise awareness of this condition and to support an individual enduring it. Let's pray for a positive outcome. God bless.
I will of course be donating, on another site they mentioned Mitch will be auctioning items on E Bay, will you post when the items are available.
