Welcome to the all new, revised BacktoFrankBlack podcast, the Millennium Group Sessions!
This is our twentieth-first podcast and part two of what seems to be a very popular interview. Yes, we're back to speaking to John Kenneth Muir for more on Millennium and associated culty topics!
For those who don't know, John Kenneth Muir is a journalist, award winning writer and director who has been a long term Millennium fan. His interview with Chris Carter has to be read and is one of the quintessential Carter interviews period. His blog, http://reflectionsonfilmandtelevision.blogspot.com/ is a fantastic resource for all cult, horror and science fiction fans. We released part one earlier this week - you can listen to it HERE.

Fantastic as always. Would definitely be up for parts 4,5,6 and beyond.
Thanks!
Hey amazing Podcast, both parts, this guy is just fantastic to listen to, I'm going to definately check out his work, what a great individual.
Infact I'd seriously be doing a podcast if I were him, hope you get Kenneth back on the show again regularly.
troy you mentioned a Brimstone interview you did with the shows created, I wondered where I could download that.
Many Thanks for all you guys do, so appreciated
Mr Muir is a fascinating man, and if we've encouraged anyone to invest in any of his work (I think I might look at getting his guide to Blake's 7 myself), then we've done a good deed.
We'll see if we can get him back this year for a panel discussion perhaps. Would love to get John and a cast/crew member talking about a particular episode.
For those who missed his great four part discussion of Millennium when it was posted last spring on Muir's blog. Here are the links to them, download-able.

A great listen, a must!

I've been meaning to check out The House Between and I'm really glad I did now.
I just watched the first episode of the first season. And I'm impressed with the writing, great dialogue and the characters are so well set up. They are not cardboard which we don't care about.
Nothing does feel forced about the dialogue or how things develop plot or character wise.
I think I see some homages to Lost (that opening shot) and to some extent, George Romero (all those quick cuts from various locations of the house).
I'll watch the others for sure.
And if the rest is as good as this one I'm in for a treat. And I would gladly buy the DVD if Muir would do commentaries on those or some interviews.
If he's doing the DVD all by himself, the authoring and menus. I can suggest a free subtitling software called Subtitle Workshop, works like a charm, even though it takes a while to time it correctly but it does the job well.
Thanks guys for the second part and thank you Muir for the entertainment that is your blog and The House Between.
Cheers from Iceland!

Troy and James:
Thank you for the lovely interview. Both parts were wonderful. I had a great time in your company -- and you are both great hosts.
Josef: Thank you for your positive comments on The House Between -- it warms my heart!
I'm trying to get the series seen by more people and it helps when new viewers come to it and enjoy it -- and say so!
I will be doing commentaries and interviews on the DVD sets; the first is due to be released before Christmas this year. I'm re-mastering and re-editing all the episodes, currently. Thank you for the recommendation on DVD authoring -- that's exactly what I'm looking into now, how I'm going to do this!
All my best,
JKM
I've been using an old program for DVD authoring, I guess it's better to buy it legit and a recent release.
But DVD-Lab Pro is good, and has very good instructions with it.
You can do lots of things with it.
But obviously, first the movie files should be DVD standard, regarding the size and all that, so it doesn't cause a fuzz with the program.
But, I say, look at all your options, I'm no expert regarding this, but I've been doing some DIY DVDs for a couple of short films and this is what I used and worked fine.
Another great podcast, thanks to everyone involved!
Great podcast guys! Looking forward to the next!
This Is Who We Are!!
