Avatar Vision Proudly Presents; IN GEHENNA THE WRETCHED WILL BURN!

Time for our weekly jaunt to Cinema Apocalypto for yet another visual feast courtesy of Josef, the campaign's very own Scorsese (or should that be Carter?), Josef has created another storming video montage using selected clips from the episode "Gehenna" and music from Nine Inch Nails - The Wretched. I am sure you will agree the results are awesome as Josef edges ever nearer to his goal of one montage for every episode of the show.

Now there you are, watching the video and wondering why these are so important to us? Youtube is an undeniably powerful way to promote yourself and entertain others in the process. A few minutes, a fun video and one more Millennium fan could very well find out about this campaign who didn't know of it before and this is exactly what is happening since Josef came on board with this fantastic project.

Let's face it, we aren't preaching to the converted, we need as many people as we can muster and that's where you come in. Videos, photographs, letters and emails are important ways of demonstrating the love that exists for Millennium and providing us with the bits and bobs we can use to get the word out there.

So grab that popcorn and settle down for another instalment of Avatar Vision. Don't forget, let Josef know what you think of his efforts in our comments section.

Very nice indeed. I enjoyed the Pilot one very much but think this is even better, the music just fits the feel of the episode so well and boy does it go mad half way through. I really wish I could make something like this to help you guys but my skills are nowhere near this.
Very nice work.

Hey Josef,

Wow, what a great video, how do you do it? I would love to make a video with something to do with Lucy Butler but my skills are nowhere near that. If I tried it would look like a small child had done it. lol Of course, these days a small childs technical skills are probably a whole lot better than mine! haha

Oh and thanks for the warm comments in your message, We really appreciate it. :) Hellraiser is an awesome movie and we might be going to a convention that Doug Bradley aka Pinhead himself is going to be at. :) Take care josef and can't wait to see more of your videos.

Thanks
Laura

A Lucy Butler video is an absolute gem of an idea Laura, why hasn't anyone every done? Probably for the very reasons you note, we don't know how too :) As I told Josef, I have dabbled and they were rubbish dabbles I confess. Lucy Butler and really awesome song befitting her devilry would be superb. Actually, strike that, just use Love Is Blue, not other song captures that woman for me quite like that one; chilling.

Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate it.

I'm only doing these videos to take the thunder away from James.

I want everyone to talk about me.

Hahaha!

But the campaign would just grind to a halt if that would happen, so talk about me, in moderation, please :D

Thanks again for the comments, they encourage me to keep on going on even though I have a feeling I'll walk into a music wall sometime...

Cheers from Iceland!

Super, I look forward to hearing from you and forgive the horrendous typos in the above, I flit so quickly between our Myspace, Youtube, Blog, Twitter and the kitchen sink that I don't always pay the necessary attention to what I'm writing. More haste less speed mister!!!!

Jósef Karl said... July 20, 2009 at 9:47 AM

Mark, you have to pay more attention to the thin red line that appears under your many typos! :)

Lucy Butler montage, I would imagine it's even harder to edit a montage surrounding a single person.

But I have an idea for a song or two.

But the correct order is the way to go for me...unless I hit a music wall and might look into single person montages.

ps: the word verification word is always very fuuny, almost a word in itself, but like something a drunk would say. hehe

Cheers from Iceland!

Wonderful, eye catching and real easy on the ears! Keep up the good work. I can't wait for your next video. Lucy Butler is not a bad idea...Love is Blue fits good too.

GREAT WORK!

My meny typoos? How daare you, do you know who u aree talking tooo. I'm not only one half of the peoplee who run thiss campaignn but I own B2FBB alll of itt, it's all mineee LOL

But seriously, you're quite correct. Slowly and carefully does it in future. *sits on hands* nah, no good I guess it's always gonna to be a little manic at Chez Hayden.

I don't image a Lucy montage would be any more daunting a prospect than cobbling together something from one episode but then again I don't have any experience of making them. At least with a Lucy montage you would have three episodes and two small bits to work with?

Any Lucy song suggestions anyone?

More amazing work from the movie-whiz himself. I have heaps of X-Files music vids on my 'pod but hardly any Millennium at all, so nice to have that change. And it will soon be Halloween (well, hardly soon but I'm a horror chick so I can't wait) and I really psyched to see what you'll do with 'Curse of Frank Black' - something kitsch and kooky music wise I hope. So this dude makes his own music as well right? ♥♥♥

Yeah, I dabble in music and try to have fun.

Wow, a video for each episode, that is an awesome idea, and such a big undertaking.

Jósef Karl said... July 22, 2009 at 6:06 AM

Thanks Earthnut. Well, that's the plan. But we'll see how it goes lol!

Cheers from Iceland!

I thought the pilot was a classic episode of Millennium, but after watching the next episode "Gehenna", the first standalone story of the series, I was impressed more by this San Francisco-set episode (although it wasn't filmed on location in the city). It drew you in, and then what you thought was going to happen was twisted by the writing. The use of empty and wide locations was stunning.

You did a sterling job Josef with this music video especially, the highlight being the frenetic editing three parts through, with the words on the screen mixed with the end of the episode's teaser.
