Millennium Movie Poster Project: Gallery Showcase Day One

Welcome to Day One of the Millennium Movie Poster Project Gallery Showcase! Over the next week or so we will be showcasing many of the entries we have received. For now we won't be crediting any of the artists - until after the winners have been announced - but we will be certain to do so at a later date.

Christopher Brielmaier

These first three posters exemplify the range of entries we received. From a starkly affecting monochromatic teaser to a detailed portrait of Frank Black himself - both with taglines - to a photographic composition.

Matthew Ingles

This third entry is notable for including a subtitle as well as listing some cast and crew, including the first - but certainly not the last - appearance for nemesis Lucy Butler. We'll be showcasing more examples of each of these styles of poster and others over the coming days, so be sure to check back again tomorrow!

I have to say the quality is staggering, and the diversity fascinating. One show and one character has spring-boarded such different visions of its future - seen in three very different lights in this first spotlight of entries. I don't envy our judges!

Awesome entries but that first one is fantastic.

Indeed, James, it's the variety of artistic styles seen in the competition entries that fascinates me. And each is undeniably representative of the spirit and atmosphere of Millennium! Fine work all around.

A lot of these I'd like to see converted to desktop wallpapers!

Agreement all round from me! As the upcoming gallery showcase posts will confirm, both the quality and variety are superb. And in that variety we once again see how many different possibilities there are for revisiting Millennium too...
